Timothy Oulton Bubble Pendant – 55 cm
A unique, fantastical piece depicting the most delicate and fleeting of things: the bubble. In the art world, soap bubbles became popular in 17th century paintings, alluding to the transience of life and the moments of magic before the inevitable pop.
Timothy Oulton’s Bubble pendant celebrates the eternal beauty of bubbles – freezing them in space forever. Using complex craftsmanship techniques, each ‘bubble’ is affixed by hand, one by one, to a hand-blown glass core, with over 1000 bubbles featuring in the large pendant. The bubbles are made from handpolished glass with superior light dispersion for a soft and mellow glow, and are of varying sizes to create a random and spontaneous feel.
