Cattelan Italia Cuba Keramik Bistrot Table
Design: Paolo Cattelan
Year: 2024
The Cuba Keramik Bistrot designer bistro table is the very embodiment of innovation in the realm of ceramic modelling. It marks the boundary between before and after on the spectrum of possible outcomes offered by this material, which was originally rigid and resistant, but is now ever more flexible and malleable. This is the first appearance, in fact, of curved slabs in the Keramik collection, here sculpted to create the cylindrical base of this round ceramic table.
Having the base and top made of the same material creates a monolithic effect, as if carved out from one piece of precious stone. While still retaining all the practical advantages of modern ceramics. The result is a ceramic bistro table that embodies a new contemporary aesthetic, combining classic finishes inspired by natural marble with previously unseen production techniques.
Table with top and base in ceramic Marmi matt Portoro (KM07), Colosseo (KM21) or matt Invisible (KM24). Imperfections, colour variations and irregularities on the base are characteristics of the workmanship and are not to be considered defects.
The ceramic slabs are produced using a wet grinding process on natural products, such as quarry clays, granite rocks and ceramic pigments, followed by subsequent compaction and firing. Ceramic care tips: if you have doubts about how to clean your porcelain stoneware, simply use a sponge soaked in normal liquid detergent or an anti-limescale gel product. Avoid very abrasive products and steam cleaners. Clean immediately while the stain is still fresh.
