Stocktons welcomes another designer to our Manchester showroom. Introducing Jensen Beds, Throughout 60 years of hard work, Jensen has been developing world-class beds. All materials are carefully selected to meet the highest demands that Jensen place in their finished products.
A bed is so much more than just a place to rest your head. A bed is a part of your lifestyle. Jensen’s development department is continuously working on new innovative solutions. Many of the industry’s most innovative products have borne the Jensen logo.
Jensen Beds care about our Scandinavian design. Using materials inspired by nature, trendy fabrics and a timeless design, they have more than once proven that a Jensen bed can be a feast for the eyes. The fact that the Norwegian Design Council has presented Jensen with the Award for Design Excellence twice is a confirmation of their philosophy.
Jensen Beds use an Hourglass pocket spring system. The special hourglass shape of their springs is the result of us fulfilling the goal of designing a progressive spring, which not only feels soft, but also provides robust support. This may sound contradictory, but the hourglass shaped springs provide a unique feeling of comfort. The shape of the individual springs means that they are softer at the ends, whilst also offering more supportive resistance when compressed. The springs have been thermally hardened so that they retain their robustness and height. As a result, your body sinks deeper into the mattress until it encounters the right degree of support. The springs are individually wrapped in a fabric pocket. The consequence of this is that each spring works individually and this leads to improved pressure reduction and a more even pressure distribution.
It is a fact that you get stronger if you sleep better. Sleep is an investment in quality of life. After all, you spend a third of your life in bed! Sleep is a basic need and a vital state that neither humans nor animals can live without for many days. In the short term, sleeping badly or insomnia causes concentration problems, mood swings and makes us a danger in traffic. In the long term, it results in a lowered resistance to sickness, speeds up the aging processes, de-energises us and even has social consequences.
Height, weight and body shape are important factors when buying a mattress. The mattress must provide comfortable support to your entire body and keep your spine as straight as possible. A good mattress should adapt and support your body and offer proper resistance so that your body can rest. This will allow you to relax and sleep better. The degree of firmness that you choose is therefore important and you should take your time when trying out a bed in the shop. The mattress must respond to your body’s impulses, making it easy to roll over in bed. It is particularly important that your shoulders and hips can sink into the bed. If your body can relax you will not wake up stiff in the morning. A good mattress also reduces the risk of incorrect pressure, back pain and restless sleep.
Why not come down to our Manchester showroom and try out our Jensen Beds for yourself. It really is as good as it looks.
Hope to see you in store soon,
