Blue Bone
Loyd Loom Monaco Chair
“Lloyd Loom is the name given to woven furniture and fabric that was invented by an American gentleman, Marshall Burns Lloyd in 1917. The Lloyd Loom chairs became very popular and in 1921 Marshall sold his patent to an English maker, W (William) Lusty & Sons. They went on to use this Lloyd Loom weave to create a collection of typical English utility furniture.
The style and weave became popular due to their durability and affordability of the finished product. At the height of its popularity, in the 1930’s, Lloyd Loom furniture was found in restaurants, hotels, tea rooms, cruise ships and fast became a household name.
These beautiful quality chairs are based on the original concept of the Lloyd Loom style.”
